Marriage Licenses
$46.00 fee is payable at the time of application by CASH ONLY and is non refundable.
The fee includes the application, processing, and recording of the completed documents. Copies of the recorded Marriage Certificate are not included in the application fee. Photocopies of Marriage Certificates or Applications are $1.00 per page. Certified copies of the recorded Marriage Certificate are $3.00 . You may elect to prepay for this at the time of application. A certified copy of your recorded Marriage Certificate will then be mailed to you once the completed marriage documents are received by the recording department.

Both applicants must be at least 18 years of age or older;

If applicant is 17 years of age the applicant must be accompanied by a parent or guardian that will sign a consent form. This parent must also present photo ID.
If 16 or younger permission must be obtained from the Juvenile Court.

There is a mandatory 3-day (calendar day) waiting period before the license becomes valid. Your ceremony must be performed in any Washington county within 60 days of application.
